Single & LGBTQ Adoption

Thank you for popping by International Adoption Net (IAN), where we believe every child deserves the warmth of a loving, permanent family. Toward that goal we embrace the diversity of family structures, and we believe that families come in all shapes and sizes, recognizing that they can be comprised of single parents, married parents, same-sex parents, or any loving combination that provides a nurturing, stable environment for children.

We celebrate the uniqueness of every family, affirming that what truly matters is the love, care, and support that parents provide to their children, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, or marital status.

Single & LGBTQ Programs

Whether you're a single man or a single woman, or a gay or lesbian couple or single considering adoption, we're pleased to extend our support and guidance to you.

Because inclusivity is at the heart of our agency, IAN has established successful pathways for single parents and gay parents opening doors to adoption from various countries. For single men and women we recommend exploring adoption opportunities in the following open programs.

India

Single men may only adopt a boy.

Colombia

Regardless of your marital status, building a robust support network is key as you embark on this beautiful path of adoption. That's why we've dedicated a special section of our website to serve as a resource and place of encouragement for people like yourself considering adoption.

We understand that the adoption process and parenting of a child can feel overwhelming at times. But rest assured, we're here to walk alongside you every step of the way. One of the best ways to prepare for your adoption journey is by connecting with other similar parents or families who have embarked on this path. Feel free to reach out to us for references, including our Colombia program manager, a single woman who has adopted internationally three times.
