Parent training prepares families for the process ahead and gives them the tools they need for a successful adoption.
All families adopting are required to complete a minimum of 10 hours of approved Hague training online and any state-specific required training. The Hague training must be completed before the Home Study is approved and both parents are required to do the training. Once completed, copies of training certificates must be received by International Adoption Net.
Here are some recommendations for webinars that are available to utilize for this training.
IAN requires an additional 4 hours of training for all IAN Adoptive Parents. Click the button below to access those trainings. Please contact your adoption coordinator for the password. IAN also provides extra family specific training as listed below.
For Colorado families, Colorado regulations require families to have 16 hours of in-person core adoption training. IAN provides in-person training, which covers the topics below. We also work to prepare our families for the referral process and travel to the foreign country. This training is conducted in the Spring and Fall. Training must be completed before you travel or receive placement of a child.
