Dear friends and families of IAN,
This year, International Adoption Net (IAN) is proud to celebrate 25 years of connecting children with families and building bridges across nations. It’s a milestone that fills my heart with joy and gratitude, and it propels me to continue this meaningful work.
I founded IAN in 2000 with a small, dedicated team, starting humbly in the basement of a local church. From those early days, our mission—to connect orphaned children around the world with loving, welcoming families—took root and flourished, growing into the impactful organization we are today. Over these years we have helped place children from Bulgaria, China, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Guatemala, Colombia, and India. Each adoption represents resilience, hope, and transformation for the children and their families.
We continue to thrive today with our wonderful India and Colombia programs, with immense need and equally immense opportunity for change. India holds a special place in my heart. With an estimated 30 million orphans it is a staggering reminder of the work still to be done. My staff and I are deeply committed to helping children find the safety, love, and future they deserve, and I am honored to walk this journey alongside you.
As we celebrate 25 years, IAN remains unwavering in our commitment to the children and families we serve. Guided by the principles of the Hague Convention, we ensure that every adoption is ethical, transparent, and always in the best interest of the child. Our journey is a testament to the power of community and the profound belief that love knows no borders.
To all the families who chose IAN for your adoption, thank you for entrusting us with your dreams of parenthood. To our dedicated board and staff, past and present, your passion, commitment, and hard work have been the lifeblood of this organization. And to the children who have found their way home through IAN, you are the reason we do what we do, you are the heart of our mission.

Our goal is to ensure that each child has a loving and supportive home. Through the decades of experience, we are happy to have created a streamlined process that makes it easier for our adoptive families to navigate the rules and requirements of the international adoption process.

We founded International Adoption Net in 1999 in a small church office in Denver. Our team has a shared vision of helping orphans throughout the world. We grew over time, slowly building a client base and averaging roughly 20 to 30 adoptions a year. By 2004, we had active programs in India, Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Guatemala, Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Eventually, we established a program in Ethiopia. Aditionally, we began providing birth parent counseling, domestic placement, post-adoption services, and home studies.
We are a licensed, full service child placement agency. Our 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization is an active member of the Joint Council on International Children's Services. This group ensures orphan children live, grow, and flourish in safe and loving families.
